Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) says it’s been conducting a massive disinfection programme as companies return to full operations.
Since March, the free zone’s teams have fumigated and disinfected buildings that covered more than 3.3 million sqm, equivalent to 462 football fields. These include accommodation buildings, security gates and commercial centres.
The programme also covered roads that covered 35 km. Additionally, all equipment, vehicles and other physical assets were also sanitised.
Isolation rooms have been identified, and procedures are in place in line with the Dubai Health Authority for dealing with COVID-19 cases.
About 8,000 companies are based out of JAFZA, sustaining 135,000 jobs.
