The 'Humaid Air Bridge', launched under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has concluded after delivering more than 600 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Over two months, the campaign transported food and relief supplies to the Egyptian city of Al Arish ahead of delivery into Gaza, in coordination with relevant authorities.
The aid included around 30,000 food parcels prepared to meet the essential needs of Palestinian families, with more than 150,000 people expected to benefit.
The initiative was carried out with the participation of several UAE humanitarian organisations, including the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charitable Foundation, the International Charity Organisation, the Emirates Red Crescent in Ajman, Al Ihsan Charity Association and Al Etihad Charity Foundation.
The campaign forms part of the UAE’s wider humanitarian efforts under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The operation includes air and sea relief missions, 'Birds of Goodness' aid drops, support for field and floating hospitals, and a range of humanitarian initiatives aimed at easing the suffering of the Palestinian people.
