Friday, June 27, will be an official paid holiday for private sector establishments in the UAE on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.
The day off marks the beginning of the new Hijri year 1447 AH.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued a statement to confirm the holiday.
This matches an earlier announcement by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources for the public sector.
