Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) are highlighting the importance of giving way to vehicles on the far left lane (fast lane).
It's part of a two-month long road safety awareness campaign called 'Give Way in the Fast Lane'.
Motorists are being urged to give priority to emergency and overtaking vehicles on the fast lane.
In case a driver does not make way for you, avoid tailgating and keep a safe distance to avoid collision.
As per the traffic law, motorists who fail to give priority to vehicles coming from the back or the left side of the road can be fined AED 400 and 4 black points.
Drivers who fail to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front can also be fined AED 400.
