His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has welcomed students back to their classrooms with a special social media post.
Schools and universities in the UAE reopened on Monday after temporarily switching to remote learning from March 2 due to the ongoing regional developments. The decision comes after comprehensive, safety protocols are put in place to ensure the safety of the staff and students.
"Our sons and daughters, the students, resume in-person learning today across all our universities and schools.. after our education system has proven its exceptional capacity for full continuity amid the conditions that the region has endured," Sheikh Mohammed wrote on his official social media channels.
His Highness highlighted that the UAE is a "nation that does not halt (if faced with) challenges".
"We are a nation that does not cease learning and teaching... We are a nation whose journey does not stop and whose development does not falter...
"We are a nation that bets on you and builds its future with you, alongside you, and for your sake."
