His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed the country's commitment to enhancing its housing system to meet the needs of citizens quickly and effectively.
Sheikh Mohammed announced that over 1,300 citizens have benefited from approvals issued in January under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, with a total value exceeding AED 1 billion.
He added that efforts are ongoing to increase the number of beneficiaries and address all pending applications throughout the year.
Reflecting on progress in the housing sector, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that 13,000 applications were processed and approved in the past two years, reducing the waiting period to just two months, one of the shortest timelines globally.
