His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that the UAE topped the Government Trust Index as per the 2026 Edelman Trust Barometer report.
Taking to social media, His Highness highlighted that "trust is built over long years of credibility".
He said the ranking reflected the UAE government's dedication to achieving its goals and aspirations, fulfilling its promises, committing to its regulations, and acting with respect to its community.

The result marks a significant rise in the country's performance, with the UAE previously ranking fourth on the index in 2025.
Edelman's Index is notable for its examination on the global level of confidence gained by the population towards countries, including their trust in their businesses, NGOs, and media ecosystems, alongside the government, with the overall goal of utilizing communication to rebuild connection and collaboration across society.
