Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has highlighted how Abu Dhabi International Airport's soon-to-be-opened Terminal A will be a "key driver of tourism growth".
Touring the site, ahead of its operational opening on November 1, Sheikh Khaled was briefed on its sustainable infrastructure, world-class facilities and services.
Spanning 742,000 square metres, the terminal has an annual capacity of up to 45 million passengers and can accommodate 79 aircraft at any given time.
Sheikh Khaled added that the terminal will deliver a significant step-change for economic and sustainable development in Abu Dhabi, and will consolidate its position as a global tourism destination.
