H.H. Sheikh Khaled approves programme to boost IVF success rates

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has approved a programme that aims to increase IVF success rates to 80 per cent by 2030.

The 'Abu Dhabi Programme for the Future of Reproductive Health' will develop an integrated ecosystem that supports men and women through various stages spanning prevention and preconception health, genetic screening, fertility diagnosis and treatment, and assisted reproductive technologies. 

Managed by the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, the initiative will boost IVF success rates through precision medicine, genomics, AI, and scientific research that will help improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes through personalised models of care. 

During a council meeting, Sheikh Khaled affirmed that "investing in the future of reproductive health means investing in the health and wellbeing of future generations".

The meeting, chaired by Sheikh Khaled, used an agentic AI platform for the first time to analyse its proposals, provide real-time insights and help fact-check information and recommendations.  

Sheikh Khaled also directed the expansion of the Abu Dhabi Liveability Strategy during the session, building on its Phase 1 achievements, which include the completion of more than 60 major projects valued at more than AED 12 billion.

He further approved a plan to increase seating capacity of Al Ghad Nurseries from 3,000 to 12,000 seats by 2029. The move is expected to create more than 1,000 additional employment opportunities for Emirati women across the early childhood sector.

The meeting also included a review of the latest updates on integrating AI education into private schools’ curricula across the emirate.
