UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed the urgent need to intensify aid delivery to Gaza with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Jassim Al Thani during his working visit to Doha.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Al Thani, who also holds the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the need to open more humanitarian corridors, following the setting up of the maritime corridor, to ensure aid is transported at a sufficient and sustainable pace into Gaza.
The two sides also reviewed the efforts to reach a sustainable ceasefire, especially with the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Abdullah pointed out that bolstering a humanitarian response to the Palestinian people is an urgent priority and will require "a unified approach combining all available efforts".
The two sides also discussed relations between the UAE and Qatar along with ways to enhance cooperation in all fields to support the development and progress of both nations.
