The UAE's recent decision to enable doctors with a golden visa will help increase retention rates across healthcare providers in the country.
That's according to Dr Azad Moopen of Aster DM Healthcare, who spoke exclusively to Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast on Monday.
So far, over 300 doctors from Aster DM Healthcare have received golden visas.
Recently, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) launched a series of services to facilitate and streamline the process for the 10-year residency visas for doctors and their families in the UAE.
According to Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, acting Director-General of the ICA, these golden visas for doctors will attract experienced medical professionals from around the world, thus enhancing the UAE’s healthcare ecosystem.
The golden residency visa was launched to enhance the country's global competitiveness as a preferred destination for work, living and study, and as an incubator of talent and academic excellence.
