Etihad Airways has welcomed a ruling by a German court that allows it to continue operating its codeshare flights with Air Berlin. Etihad was forced to launch legal action as Germany hadn’t approved Etihad Airways codesharing on Air Berlin services during the Winter schedule that begins tomorrow. Etihad owns 29.2 per cent of Air Berlin and the two names have operated a codeshare arrangement since 2012. The injunction is valid until 8 November and allows both airlines to honour all flights while consultations continue.
