Teams from the UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 have started distributing the first batch of aid from the UAE's Saqr Humanitarian Ship to northern Gaza.
The consignment, carrying aid provided by the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, was transported into the Gaza Strip in a convoy of trucks.
The ship carried 4,000 tonnes of food aid and shelter materials, including winter clothing and essential supplies, in addition to medicines, medical consumables and equipment.
Its part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to support residents and address their basic needs amid the challenging conditions in the Strip ahead of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Another UAE aid convoy entered the Strip carrying more than 290 tonnes of food parcels and supplies.
It brings the total number of aid convoys dispatched under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to 301, comprising more than 10,000 trucks carrying over 122,000 tonnes of diverse relief aid.
The UAE humanitarian aid team said convoys are dispatched based on the requirement on ground.
