Special needs students need to be given more flexibility in order to make the most of distance learning.
That's according to the CEO of the Integreat Centre, who says it's a challenging time for both parents and educators
Ayukta Thakur told ARN what needs to be done to allow kids with special needs to get the most out of remote learning.
"We do understand it's very intimidating and very demanding on both ends, from the parents' side and the educator's side, and that's something we're well aware of," she said.
"We're trying to provide as much support, resources and advice to parents to better cater to this long term solution, when it comes to safety and continuing their education," she added.
