Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched rigorous inspection campaigns targeting overloaded heavy vehicles and trucks.
These initiatives, part of the Traffic Safety Strategy, are conducted in collaboration with Dubai Police.
They focus on areas like Dubai-Al Ain Road, Al Maktoum International Airport Road, Emirates Road, Ras Al Khor Road, Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road.
Sultan Al Akraf, Director of Licensing Activities Monitoring at the RTA's Public Transport Agency, underscored the inspections' goal of raising awareness among drivers about the risks associated with overloaded cargo and improper transportation of hazardous and flammable materials.
He also emphasised the importance of compliance with technical standards and traffic safety regulations, particularly during the summer season, to ensure safer roads for all.
