Cafes and other F&B outlets in Dubai are now allowed to serve shisha as long as they comply with the government's precautionary measures.
The municipality gave its go-ahead over the weekend with operators being asked to maintain strict hygiene standards and enforce social distancing rules.
Only disposable shisha hoses can be used and social gatherings and parties are not allowed.
It's also mandatory for staff and guests to go through temperature screening, while every establishment must have a dedicated isolation room as well as proper procedures in place to handle suspected COVID-19 cases.
Regular inspections will be conducted to ensure compliance.
