Birth and death certificates can now be issued at certain private hospitals in Dubai.
Previously, only a public hospital could issue these documents.
According to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), HMS Mirdif Hospital and Medcare Hospital for Women and Children have started providing the service, which will be gradually extended to other private health facilities across the emirate.
Additionally, the DHA’s Customer Happiness Centre in Al Jaddaf is also providing the service. The document will be provided as an e-certificate and as a physical one.
Meanwhile, Al Karama and Al Rashidiya medical fitness centres have stopped issuing the documents as the service has now been extended to private hospitals.
By early 2023, more hospitals will provide the service once the DHA reviews the procedures and processes to ensure they are in line with the protocols.
