Dubai Police warn against fake celeb social media accounts

If you've been contacted by a celeb on Instagram, don't get excited as it could be another scam!

That's right. Dubai Police took to their social media platforms to warn residents about the dangers online. 

They spoke about how online scammers use fake celeb accounts to extort money.

Officials have advised residents to report any such suspicious activities.

Last year, a Sharjah resident lost AED 2 million to an online fraudster on Instagram.
