More than 2,000 drivers have been fined for stopping in the junction during the first nine months of the year. Dubai Police are running a campaign under the theme ‘Do not stop in a yellow box junction’ that aims to curb traffic jams and reduce the chances of major accidents. Motorists who enter the yellow box when the exit is not empty face a fine of AED 500.
