Dubai Police arrested 1,044 suspects and uncovered 728 drug related cases in the last four months of 2020.
About 1,034 kilograms of drugs were recovered and 16 websites promoting drugs were also blocked during the same period.
Brigadier Eid Muhammad Thani Hareb, Director of Anti-narcotics at Dubai Police, said that they are working tirelessly to end the illegal use and trafficking of drugs.
The statistics were revealed during an appraisal meeting chaired by Dubai Police Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri.
