Traders have the right to deny entry to customers who do not comply with the precautionary measures related to COVID-19.
That's according to Dubai Economy, which reiterated that businesses and consumers must play their part in ensuring the safe and smooth conduct of commercial activities.
In order to avoid any confusion, the authority has also called on establishments to brief their customers about the rules and regulations from the moment they enter the outlet.
The reminder comes as Dubai Economy's Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector has stepped up field visits in recent weeks.
During the latest round of inspections, four outlets were fined for their employees’ lack of commitment to wearing masks, while warnings were issued to two others for not placing enough physical distancing stickers.
