His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister, has described Dubai Gaming Retreat as a gamechanger for the industry.

At the event, Sheikh Hamdan, who also holds the positions of UAE's Defence Minister, met representatives from 80 of the sector's leading local and global companies.

Organised by the Dubai Media Council, Sheikh Hamdan said the Retreat is "our commitment to make Dubai the world's new hub for the gaming industry" and marks the effort to "shape the next phase of the industry's development in Dubai".

"Our ambition is not limited to attracting the world's major companies, but extends to empowering the next generation of global companies to launch from Dubai," he added.

Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

The retreat brought together government and industry stakeholders to deepen collaboration, identify shared priorities, and explore initiatives to shape the next phase of Dubai's gaming sector.

Discussions at the Dubai Gaming Retreat focused on five strategic priorities — talent, governance and regulation, funding, marketing, and infrastructure — to help shape future policy, partnerships, and initiatives that support the continued growth of Dubai's gaming ecosystem.
