The Dubai Criminal Court has issued its verdict in the case of a woman charged with assaulting police and causing a disturbance.
The Gulf national has been sentenced to six months in prison, followed by deportation, and has also been fined AED 20,000.
The court also referred her civil case to the relevant civil court.
The woman was arrested after being found intoxicated in a public place, where she caused a disturbance.
During the incident, she also assaulted Dubai Police officers and used offensive language while they were carrying out their duties.
Following her arrest, the Dubai Public Prosecution referred her case to the Criminal Court for trial.
