Sharjah Police have reminded motorists to remove all Eid Al Etihad decorations from their cars before December 6 or face fines.
In an announcement posted on social media platform X, Sharjah Police said fines will be levied on cars with stickers on past the deadline.
The authority said it's part of efforts to maintain road safety and cohesiveness.
Every year, the UAE's Ministry of Interior issues a list of guidelines to follow when decorating cars for Eid Al Etihad. It prohibits drivers from using decorations to cover windows and conceal licence plates, and reminds drivers not to overload the vehicles, obstruct traffic on public roads.
