Dubai Opera has reminded the public to buy tickets only from the official channels and refrain from falling for unrealistic discounts after a surge in fake ticketing scams.
Speaking exclusively to ARN News, Paolo Petrocelli, Head of Dubai Opera, urged citizens never to click on discounts that appear to be too good to be true.
Concert-goers must purchase tickets only from Dubai Opera's official website, and the Platinumlist's portal.
Petrocelli described the scams as a "systematic attack" that has targeted many entertainment venues in the UAE.
He added that they are working closely with civil and legal authorities in the country to take decisive action and "take them down" fake sites promoting their tickets.
Dubai Opera, Petrocelli added, will continue to raise awareness among the UAE community about online scammers, and step up efforts to ensure their customers stay protected.
