Delta Air Lines has announced it will stop flying to from Atlanta to Dubai in 2016. The announcement was made as US carriers accuse Gulf-based airlines of receiving billions in state subsidies. Delta says 11,000 daily seats were added between the US and Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi between 2008 and 2014, more than 95% of which are flown by Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways. The GCC-based carriers have repeatedly denied the allegations.
