The UAE’s new Blue Residency visa further cements UAE’s role as a global leader in sustainability says COP28 President and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.
On Wednesday the UAE announced a 10-year 'Blue Residency' scheme for people with exceptional contributions and efforts in the field of environment protection and sustainability.
Speaking about the new initiative, Al Jaber said the visa will “help further establish the UAE as a frontrunner in the development of technologies, such as artificial intelligence, that can help address climate change.”
