A total of 84 establishments have been shut down by Dubai Municipality in the month of January for not complying with the COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The authority also fined 157 outlets and handed warnings to 661 others for a similar offence.
Field inspections have been stepped up in recent weeks to ensure businesses are following the rules.
