Chilean President, Gabriel Boric Font arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday, beginning his official visit to the UAE.
It will be the first trip to the UAE by a Chilean president since diplomatic relations were established between the two nations in 1978.
During the visit, President Boric will engage in discussions with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on economic, trade, and developmental sectors.
The visit is also expected to see a major announcement concerning the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Upon his arrival at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi, the Chilean President was received by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Head of the Honorary Mission accompanying the President, Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Chile, and several officials.
