Shopping malls in the UAE capital will operate at 40 per cent of total capacity from Monday, July 19.

That's according to the latest announcement from the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, which said cinemas will run at 30 per cent capacity.

Meanwhile, public beaches, public parks, private beaches and swimming pools, restaurants, cafes, gyms and spas in hotels, buses and public ferries will operate at 50 per cent capacity.

A maximum of three passengers will be permitted to travel in a five-passenger taxi and four passengers in a seven-passenger taxi.

The decision is aligned with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to reinforce proactive and precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The committee called on the public to adhere to preventive measures, maintain physical distancing, and wear masks in public places.
