The Airbus Foundation says it’s offering its technology and services to help in disaster relief projects. It briefed participants at the Dubai Airshow on how satellite imagery and analysis can help assess the situation in a crisis-stricken area. Representatives from charities were also shown how some aircraft and helicopters can quickly deliver aid in the event of a crisis. The discussions were joined by UAE-based and international humanitarian organisations. Earlier this week, the Dubai Civil Defence announced an order for 20 futuristic jetpacks, which will be used in emergency situations in the emirate.
