The AED 130 Million Federal Electricity and Water Authority power plant has been inaugurated in Umm Al Quwain. The 270 mega-volt power station aims to meet the increasing demand for electricity in the emirate through to 2021. FEWA’s new power station is part of the second phase expansion plan in the northern part of the UAE. In two months’ time, the third phase will be launched that will see an AED1.5 billion added to electricity expansion.
