All Abu Dhabi public bus drivers have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Making the announcement, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport said 1,460 drivers have received their jabs as part of their efforts to inoculate all employees in the transport sector and ensure a safe environment for the commuters.
The authority added that as many as 7,166 drivers have been inoculated up until May through a drive launched in coordination with the Department of Health and Abu Dhabi Health Service Company (SEHA) in the capital.
Meanwhile, 5,706 taxi drivers of the 6,938 strong workforce have been vaccinated.
