Abu Dhabi Police has warned residents about fraudulent websites and online platforms posing as consumer protection services in an attempt to steal personal and banking information.
The warning forms part of the force's efforts to combat cybercrime and enhance digital security across the community.
Police said scammers are creating fake websites and social media accounts that mimic the names, branding and logos of official organisations. The platforms often appear in search engine results and target people seeking help with complaints about products, services or businesses.
Victims are then asked to provide personal details, banking information or download applications that allow fraudsters to gain access to their devices.
Abu Dhabi Police urged the public to verify the authenticity of websites and links before sharing any information online and to avoid making payments or providing financial details except through official channels.
Residents are also encouraged to carefully check the identity of any organisation they communicate with online.
Police said suspected cyber fraud and suspicious online activity can be reported through the Aman service on 800 2626, by text message to 2828, or via the Abu Dhabi Police smart app.
Officials stressed that public awareness remains one of the most effective tools in preventing cybercrime and protecting personal information.
