A new COVID-19 drive-thru centre, built using repurposed shipping containers, has opened in Abu Dhabi's Al Manhal area.
The centre, set up by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), will have four lanes for vaccination, PCR swabs and laser tests.
It'll have the capacity to carry out 100 vaccinations and 600 nose swabs and laser tests daily.
The centres will be open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (Saturday to Thursday), and from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Fridays.
The authority added that the shipping containers, used earlier for the Al Sarouj centre, are more durable, and provide a high level of heat and cold resistance. They are also easier to move, reuse and maintain.
This brings the total number of SEHA drive-thru screening centers in the capital to six. They are Al Madina, Zayed Sports City, Al Bahia, Al Shamkha, Al Wathba, and Al Manhal.
The authority urged the public to use the app to book for vaccine or COVID-19 screening slots.
