16 shops were damaged on Friday afternoon in a fire in the Bani Yas area Municipality Souq. Witnesses reported seeing black smoke from a distance of several kilometres as firefighters put out the blaze. No injuries were reported in the fire which witnesses said started in a building where there are some electrical stores. A drone from the air wing was used in the incident to transfer images from the air to the operations room.
