Six wild elephants have drowned after slipping off a waterfall at the Khao Yai National Park in southern Thailand.
The elephants, including a three-year old-calf, died while trying to save each other.
Park officials were alerted to elephants "crying" for help at 3:00 am on Saturday.
Two elephants, found on a cliff edge nearby, have been moved by Thai authorities.
The waterfall, known as Haew Narok (Hell's Fall), has been closed to the public following the incident.
A herd of eight elephants died after falling in 1992.
