Donald Trump and Imran Khan will meet each other later today in Washingt
The Pakistani Prime Minister is expected to ask the US President for much needed investment to his country as he battles to avoid a balance of payments crisis.
In exchange, Trump will ask Khan for assurances of full cooperation in ending the war in Afghanistan in addition to fighting militant threats.
Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will accompany Khan in the meeting.
Last year the Trump administration cut off hundreds of millions of dollars in security assistance to Pakistan.
They accuse Islamabad of offering “nothing but lies and deceit” and giving a safe haven to terrorists.
