India’s tech industry contributed nearly 411,000 jobs to the US economy this year, and is up $20 billion (AED 73.4bn) in taxes from 2011-2015. That’s according to a report by the trade association NASSCOM, which was released in Washington ahead of the first Indo-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue. It also shows the Indian tech industry contributed more than $375 million (AED 1.3bn) to the U.S. Treasury over the last four years. According to the study, California, Texas, Illinois, New Jersey and New York are the top American states where Indian IT firms have supported direct jobs.
