H.H. Sheikh Mohammed reviews UAE tourism sector achievements for 2025

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has highlighted the UAE's strong performance in the tourism sector by unveiling a record 9.7 per cent growth in hotel revenues in 2025.

It was valued at AED49.21billion.

Sheikh Mohammed made the observations while reviewing the achievements of the UAE's tourism sector and reports of the Emirates Tourism Council for 2025.

Hotel occupancy rate stood at 79.5 per cent, among the highest in the region and globally, while the number of hotel guests climbed to more than 32 million in 2025, up 5.1 per cent compared to 2024.

The total number of hotel rooms reached 217,000, distributed across more than 1,240 hotels.

The national tourism sector's achievements also included hotel nights reaching 100 million.

The UAE ranked first across the Middle East and North Africa region and 18th globally in the World Economic Forum's Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) 2024.
