Turning Dubai into a ‘smart city’ could see an investment value worth AED 19 billion by 2019. Digital city and connected industry solutions are being showcased at the Internet of Things (IoT) World Forum, which could help healthcare and traffic services as well as public transport become more efficient. Data from cameras, sensors and other technologies can be analysed and shared helping services to run more smoothly. UAE General Manager of Cisco Rabih Dabboussi says Dubai was the obvious choice to host the forum.
