 
                                    The inaugural UAE Games for People of Determination begins today in Abu Dhabi with over 1,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities, students of determination, unified partners, coaches, technical staff and supervisory teams participating in the event.
The UAE Games will comprise two flagship events, the first being the Unified Schools UAE Games, which will include football and badminton for boys and girls, in various age categories, and will run from May 21-22, with 400 students participating.

The second event is the UAE Games for People of Determination’s clubs and centres, which will be held from June 7-10, and will include competitions in six sports: badminton, basketball, bowling, football, e-sports and powerlifting. This event will see the participation of more than 600 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities from across the UAE, along with their coaches and other technical and supervisory teams. Both events will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
The UAE Games is organised in close collaboration with several sports federations, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Dubai Sports Council and Sharjah Sports Council.
