World number one Novak Djokovic says men should be given more prize money than women in tennis. His comments follow a row sparked by Indian Wells CEO Raymond Moore who said the Women’s Tennis Association ‘Rides on the coattails’ of the men. Djokovic questioned equal prize money in the game, suggesting men should get better awards as they have more spectators. Women's World Number 1 Serena Williams has hit back saying the remarks by Moore were 'very inaccurate and offensive'. Speaking at the tournament in California, Mr Moore courted controversy when he said: "If I was a lady player, I would go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they have carried this sport. They really have." Moore has since apologised for his comments.
