Disgraced FIFA chief Sepp Blatter is still being paid the president’s salary despite being banned from football. The sport’s governing body says he’ll continue to receive a monthly income until a new president is elected at the end of February. Blatter was suspended for 90 days by FIFA on October 8 and then banned from the game for eight years last month for ethics violations. The charges are linked to a $2 million (AED 7.3 million) payment made to European football boss Michel Platini, with Blatter's approval in 2011.
