Liverpool dropped points for the first time in the Premier League this season following a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford (36') opened the scoring for United in the first-half at Old Trafford, but the Reds equalised in the 85th minute through substitute Adam Lallana.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claimed that forward Divock Origi had been fouled in the buildup to Rashford's opener, but the goal was upheld after video review.
VAR went against Liverpool again moments later, when an apparent equaliser from Sadio Mane was cancelled out as he was found to have handled the ball.
Liverpool's lead over second-placed Manchester City has now come down to six points, while United are stranded 13th in the points table.
