Inzamam-ul-Haq will no longer be the Pakistan cricket team's chief selector once his contract expires at the end of July.
The former batsmen made the announcement on Wednesday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
He has occupied the position for the last three years.
Inzamam said he made the decision because "It was the right time for the Pakistan Cricket Board to appoint a new chief selector who can bring new ideas and fresh thinking."
