Pakistan kicked off their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a dominant 93-run win over Oman.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Pakistan posted 160 for 7, led by 66 off 43 balls from Mohammad Haris, who was named Player of the Match.
Support came from Sahibzada Farhan with 29 and Fakhar Zaman’s unbeaten 23.
Oman’s chase faltered early, with Pakistan’s bowlers dismantling the lineup in 16.4 overs. Oman was bowled out for just 67, with Hammad Mirza top-scoring at 27.
Saim Ayub, Faheem Ashraf and Sufiyan Muqeem each took two wickets for Pakistan, while Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed added one apiece.
The emphatic win gives Pakistan two points and a strong start to their Asia Cup journey in Group A, which also includes India and the UAE.
