Rory McIlroy has made a solid start to the first event of the new PGA Tour golf season. The world number three shot a four-under-par 68 in the first round of the Frys.com Open in California. After bogeying early on, he picked up two birdies on his outward nine, followed by three after the turn. He’s tied for 13th, five strokes off the leader, Brendan Steele.
