Roger Federer has booked his place in the quarter-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
The seven-time winner defeated Spain's Fernando Verdasco in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, to keep his hopes of winning his one hundredth career ATP title in Dubai alive.
Meanwhile, fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas also qualified for the last-eight by getting past Egor Gerasimov 6-3, 6-1.
