UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has marked World Youth Skills Day with a special message reiterating the country's "focus on empowering youth to lead, create and contribute to the progress of (the) nation".
"We renew our commitment to equipping the UAE’s young people with the skills that will define the future," Sheikh Mohamed said on social media platform X.
"In an age of AI and digital transformation, we remain focused on empowering our youth to lead, create, and contribute to the continued progress of our nation and the world."
In 2014, the UN General Assembly declared July 15 as World Youth Skills Day to celebrate the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
